We are Missionaries to Indonesia

Yes, that’s right. We are finally official missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship!!!  Can you believe it? We’ve been working towards this for many years and are very excited to be a part of the MAF family. On July 20th, we met with the candidate committee at Mission Aviation Fellowship. As we sat across the table from them we were elated when they said, “We are excited to invite you to join MAF.” Then, they said that we would be assigned to the Asia region. Well, there’s only one country in Asia where MAF has a flight program…Indonesia. As of right now, we are assigned to the Indonesian province of Kalimantan. Steve will be a pilot /mechanic and Laura will provide a loving Christian home, teach, hostess, or fill in where needed.

Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelago, consisting of 17,000 islands, 6,000 of which are inhabited. The islands span an area wider than the USA. Kalimantan is on the island of Borneo, the third largest island in the world. There are hundreds of different people groups and languages on these islands. We will be focused on serving the people in province of Kalimantan.
