We are Married

May 25, 2002 was a wonderful day full of family, friends, excitement, sunshine, and the beginning of a new stage of life for us. Thank you to all who were witnesses of our wedding.  It was so good to see you even if it was only briefly.
After the wedding, we were off on our honeymoon to Charleston, SC. Neither of us had ever been there before. We had a great time relaxing, swimming in the ocean and touring this historic town. However, there are many places that we did not get to visit in Charleston.

Mr. & Mrs. Steve Persenaire just after the ceremony. Can’t you tell by the smile? =)

What are we doing now?

Laura has started the graduate program at ETSU (East Tennessee State University). She is working toward her masters in teaching. This semester she has had the opportunity to work with a sixth grade boy from Bosnia who did not speak any English when he came in October. She will probably be finished with her education May 2004. She wants to work with middle school aged Missionary kids overseas. So, teaching will be a natural fit.
Steve is fitting in well at Moody as a flight instructor. He really enjoys teaching other people how to fly. Especially, people that will one day serve with him on the  mission field. This semester he has been working with students as they work toward Private Pilot certification. It is hard to   believe that his students are now private pilots. After Christmas, he will start working with more advanced students, teaching them to fly by instruments, and getting them ready for a commercial certification.
