Goodbye, Moody...Hello, MAF

Hello! Much has happened since our last update. First of all, thank you for your prayers for us as I did my student teaching and as Steve taught his last group of flight students at Moody Aviation. Student teaching was a good learning experience. I graduated on May 1st! Steve’s students will graduate on May 28th.

June 25th will be Steve’s last day at Moody Aviation as a flight instructor. On June 26th, we will begin driving out to the MAF headquarters in Redlands, California for Non-technical Candidacy. Along the way, we will visit some friends and family that we have not seen in a while. We are really looking forward to this! When we arrive in California on July 2nd, we will be going to a rehearsal dinner for one of Steve’s best friends and then to the wedding the next day.

Next, we will spend two weeks in Nontechnical Candidacy where we will find out about the places where MAF serves. At the end of those two weeks, the final decision will be made for us to join MAF. If accepted, we will discuss where we could serve and then receive our country assignment. We are open to serving anywhere.

Finally, we will spend two more weeks in the Ministry Partnership Seminar. This is MAF’s time to help us know more about finding others to come along side us and encourage, assist, champion, be a part of, and/or bear witness to the ministry to which God has called us. This is the most exciting part to us! We are glad that we are not in this alone. We are the ones called to go, but we need others who have been called to send us out and encourage us because we cannot go alone. Thank you for doing all of those things now. Your prayers and generosity have already touched many lives through us. May God bless you as you have blessed us.
